Military Veterans at Indigenous healing ceremony
Military Veterans at Indigenous healing ceremony
We extend a lifeline of support to Military Veterans and others journeying through trauma by offering subsidies and scholarships for wellness coaching and retreats.
We cultivate a caring sanctuary in the Caribe Sur, where an array of local healers—from indigenous wisdom-keepers to modern-day wellness experts—unite to welcome guests into a community devoted to holistic well-being.
Recognizing that we also heal through nature, we champion the preservation of the biodiverse ecological corridors that that our Community & Retreat Center calls home.
Amistar is proud to sponsor 2 scholarship subsidies for Veteran women who are ready to transform trauma into aligned, purpose-driven service!
At Amistar, we recognize the profound impact that trauma, Moral Injury, and (C)PTSD can have on lives. Our tailored coaching and retreats for military veterans and others affected are more than a remedy; they're a bridge to a renewed life. With compassion at our core, we strive to foster mental and emotional well-being, equipping individuals with the resources to shift from surviving to thriving!
It takes a village to heal. We offer that village. At Amistar Foundation, we engage in a dynamic exchange of healing wisdom and active kindness with our host cultures, the indigenous Bri Bri and the vibrant Afro-Caribbean community, as well as the broader community. Our veteran-centric programs, imbued with this spirit of reciprocity, offer more than a retreat from struggle; they offer an entryway into a village of holistic wellness and purposeful living. And as we benefit from the rich traditions and modalities of our neighbors, we strive to reciprocate in ways that nourish the cultural and spiritual fabric of our shared home.
Here in the biodiverse heartlands of the Caribe Sur and Talamanca mountains, we invite you to experience deep healing through forest therapy and nature immersion. But this isn't a one-way relationship; we believe that as nature nurtures us, it's our duty to nurture it in return. Committed to the ecological well-being of our regions we support local conservation projects and community stewards. Inspired by indigenous wisdom, our intent is twofold: to facilitate your journey toward well-being and to contribute to a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship that honors and protects.
